Where the rules actually live

• Board of Forestry and Fire Protection (bof.fire.ca.gov): the Zone 0 regulatory drafts, including the April 17, 2026 text.
• CAL FIRE (fire.ca.gov): Fire Hazard Severity Zone maps, the official Zone 0 FAQ, and defensible space guidance.
• OSFM FHSZ viewer: look up your exact parcel's tier, including the per-city Very High map PDFs Orange County cities publish.
• Orange County Fire Authority (ocfa.org): the AHJ for most of the county, including its FHSZ page and member-city list.
